• I need to talk about what I just experienced, what I am going to call the wild west of grocery shopping. What in the actual F?!?!?!?! Thanksgiving week at the grocery store makes me want to punch my own self in the face honestly, and if you have been, you already know. If you havenโ€™tโ€ฆ protect your peace with grocery delivery. You are welcome.

I even went in prepared with an organized, detailed shopping list! I even went in prepared for it to be slightly busier than usualโ€ฆ not prepared enough friends! I was hydrated and optimistic- at first. This optimism lasted 11 seconds.

The produce section was every man or woman for themselves. People were grabbing sweet potatoes like they were half price Birkin bagsโ€ฆ no joke! Meanwhile, I am just trying to survive while looking for strawberries (which I didnโ€™t find) to make chocolate covered strawberry turkeys, vlog coming soon here- hopefullyโ€ฆ

Donโ€™t even get me started on the checkout line. Peopleโ€™s shopping carts looked like they were preparing for the apocalypse and lines were longer than those at Disneyworld!

I did make it out alive, barley. When I got home and had everything unloaded and put away, I lit a fall candle and remembered something very important. Yes, Thanksgiving grocery chaos is exhausting, but what a blessing it is to be able to shop, to have a family to cook for and plenty of food to share. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving everyone!

  • Even as the leaves continue to fall, winter is closing in on us. With that in mind, I am going to wrap up my Fall Bucket List series, which is going to become a fun seasonal tradition. It reminded me to savor the moments that only the fall season can provide. Doing this series truly made me intentional about enjoying all my fall activities to the fullest.

From pumpkin spice coffee runs, hayrides, corn mazes, pumpkin picking and painting- I loved sharing all these moments here and on all my other social media platforms, check them out here-

The shift in seasons has me asking, whatโ€™s next? It feels like the perfect time for a new series. Iโ€™m thinking something fun again, obviouslyโ€ฆ what about something aligned with fitness and lifestyle heading into winter, the holidays, the New Year??? Can you tell I am excited about this?

I loved my first ever โ€œseries.โ€ I canโ€™t wait to kick off the next one together. Stay tuned!

  • Fall is such a great season for so many reasons. I canโ€™t call it my favorite season, as that spot belongs to summer, but it is a close secondโ€ฆ I think, or is it Spring??? One thing I do know, winter doesnโ€™t even
make the cut! I saw โ€œattend a football gameโ€ repeated on many of the fall bucket list ideas I pinned and when the opportunity presented itself, I said check and CHECK! โœ…โ˜‘๏ธ
This year I was able to experience my daughterโ€™s college homecoming football game while visiting her
for parents weekend. I posted about it on my social media pages that can be found here. Please check
them out and let me know when you do. It means the world to me

From the moment we parked in the parking garage across from the stadium the excitement was
everywhere. Alumni, students and families flooded the stands. So much so that we had to sit on the
opposing team’s side. The pre-game festivities were something to experience too. There was tailgating, food trucks and a family carnival. The marching band, mascot and cheerleaders kept everyone immersed in school spirit. Maybe thatโ€™s why we won!
At the end of the day, I had not only crossed โ€œattend a football gameโ€ off of my fall bucket list, but I
made wonderful memories with my beautiful daughter. Fall isnโ€™t just about the season but the
experiences too, so get out there and start completing your list. Let me know what you check off!

  • The changing seasons will always inspire some sort of creativity in me. Fall is no exception! My most recent fall bucket list item required a great deal of creativity and a trip to Michaels. All of which I videoed and posted to my social media pages. Please check them out here and let me know if you do! It will mean the world to me!

We are a racehorse family through and through. It is how my husband and I met and how we put food on our family table. So naturally, instead of spooky faces, we decided to do something a little different this year. We painted our pumpkins as racehorses (Facebook post inspired). Spoiler alert, although a lot of fun was had, they did not end up quite like the mentioned Facebook post. That is what gives them personality though. I even sent a picture to my mother-in-law, to which her response wasโ€ฆ โ€œthat is one original racehorse.โ€

As I spread out my towels, painting and crafting supplies I was reminded of just how hot- hot glue really is and how much I love these moments with my family. Hereโ€™s to checking another one off the list and another memory made!

  • Pumpkin Picking: Another Fall Bucket List Item Checked Off

Bight orange pumpkins on a crisp fall day, say less my friend! Iโ€™m there! I was able to check pumpkins off my fall bucket list and as always, loved every second and every fall vibe!!

I have already written in earlier blog posts about a trip to the beautiful TLV Tree Farm in Glenelg, Maryland where I was able to check multiple items off my fun fall list. Pumpkins were up next. We were there with my sonโ€™s 4-H group for their annual fall potluck. The $10 per person cost included one smaill-ish pumpkin each. I have a video and pictures of our time there on my social media pages, check them out here. Let me know if you do, it will mean the world.

We did end up getting some larger pumpkins later in the week for painting and carving (stay tuned for that).

I love the look of our pumpkins as they decorate our front porch. Pumpkin picking isnโ€™t just about finding the perfect one, it is about the memories made while picking. These are memories I have made with my family since my oldest was born, who is now 19. Checking this item off my fall bucket list was the best reminder of how blessed I am and how much I have to be thankful for. Pick your perfect pumpkins with your perfect people and let me know how much fall fun you have in the process!

  • One of the best parts about fall in Maryland is going outside to catch all the seasonal fall moments. Think of crisp air and the sounds of leaves crunching under foot. A great way to get outdoors this fall season is to find a corn maze and get lost!

My family did just that at the TLV Tree Farm in Glenelg, Maryland. We spent the afternoon surrounded by rows of tall corn that seemed to go on forever. I am still not entirely convinced that it didnโ€™t. A hayride dropped us at the entrance of the maze; can you get any more fall than that?!?!

While we worked together in the beginning holding the now crumpled paper map, eventually my husband and I went one way, and our son went with his friends in a different direction. We would later find out that our son and his friend were the first to find their way out of the maze from our group. Great job boys, because it sure had me stumped! Working together with whoever you end up getting lost with is the perfect mix of challenge and fun.

There is something about being outside this time of year that feels magical to me. The farm had all of our fall favorites including pumpkins and a cute farm stand with frozen apple cider and snacks. We were ready for some fall treats by the time we made it out of the corn maze. I am linking the farm here, let me know if you go! https://www.tlvtreefarm.com/

  • Fall Bucket List Series: Cozy Nights and Fall Family Memories around the Fire Pit

There is undeniably something special about fall nights around a fire pit. The crisp air and smell of woodsmoke, the crackling sounds of the fireโ€ฆ

I was recently able to check another item off my Fall Bucket List: A fall fire pit!

This fire pit is extra wonderful because it was built by my son and his dad, together as a team. They worked together side by side right down to the Home Depot trips and stone stacking. This makes the whole fire pit experience that much more meaningful. I just love knowing what went into making it. It warms my heart both on the inside and the out!

We had firewood delivered a few weeks ago and couldnโ€™t wait for the perfect fall night to light it up. The glow of the roaring fire and the music playing from our speaker made it a simple moment that I will always remember with a smile.

I shared some pictures on my social media, be sure and check them out here. It would mean the world to me.

With this checked off my fall bucket list, I am already planning what is next. This fire pit was such a great reminder that sometimes the best parts of fall arenโ€™t huge adventures, but memories made right here at home.

  • I recently checked another item off my Fall Bucket List Series, aย hayride! There is something so timeless and comforting about climbing into a wagon full of hay while surrounded by all the outdoor scents of the fall air. I shared the experience on my social media platforms, please check it out; https://www.instagram.com/cathysansosti/ https://www.tiktok.com/@cathysansosti https://www.pinterest.com/csansosti/ https://www.facebook.com/cathy.sansosti https://www.youtube.com/@Cathysansosti

My son is a member of a 4H club that had their fall potluck on TLV Tree Farm in Glenelg, MD. What a great spot! I checked numerous fall bucket list items off while there! Stay tuned for those. The hayride was pulled by the coolest old tractor. My husband asked just how old it was, but the driver wasnโ€™t sure. It definitely looked older than him though. The ride took us through beautiful open fields making for a picture-perfect fall fairytale.

If you are also keeping a fall bucket list, add a hayride to it if you havenโ€™t already. You could go with friends, family or on a cozy fall date. It really is the perfect way to celebrate the season and get some great fall photos!
