I am going to age myself here… but remember when department stores gift wrapped your purchases around the holidays? Remember when department stores gave you boxes to wrap your purchases in? The cashier would actually ask how many boxes you needed!!
Those were the days. I know a lot of people enjoy wrapping… the crinkle sound of the wrapping paper, the scissors cutting through the paper, bows for finishing touches… I am not one of those people. Okay, so maybe I am for the first three gifts, with a good Christmas movie playing. Then, I am over it.. completely.
As much as I plan on wrapping early, I don’t, and I pay the price. Up until 3 am wrapping while everyone else sleeps peacefully.
Now that I think about it, this late night into early morning wrapping session has become a tradition, and if I am being honest, I sort of look forward to it, sort of dread it, but would definitely miss it.
